Dr Peggy Kwok
MBBS, FRACGP, FHKCFP, FHKAM (Family Med), Dip. Pall Med (Cardiff), Clinical diploma in palliative medicine (RACP), Australian Medical Acupuncture College Part I
General Practitioner

Dr. Peggy Kwok graduated in 1999 from the University of Hong Kong and has been a Fellow of RACGP since 2006. She migrated to Australia in 2014.

She has a special interest in palliative care and received training with hands-on experience at palliative care in-patient units both in Hong Kong and Australia. She is a visiting GP for several aged care homes, aiming to provide good palliative care to elderly patients in the community.

She has been an antenatal shared care GP with Eastern Health for many years and is experienced with women’s health.

Her other interest is mental health especially around addiction medicine.

In 2023, Peggy completed the training to be a qualified acupuncturist. New ambition is to apply acupuncture on chronic pain management, mental health and women’s health.

Peggy speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Peggy has two teenage kids. Outside of medicine, Peggy enjoys hiking, swimming, bike riding and reading. She is a Christian, churchgoer and bible study leader. Peggy is the team manager of her son's soccer team and enjoy watching the game when her children are playing.

Dr Hamed Derakhshani

MD, FRACGP

General Practitioner

Dr Hamed Derakhshani is an experienced and compassionate family physician who has been practicing medicine since 2008. He has been caring for the Mooroolbark community as a General Practitioner since 2013. With over 18 years of medical experience, he is dedicated to providing personalised, high-quality healthcare for individuals and families at every stage of life. With a strong belief in building trusting, long-term relationships, Dr Hamed takes the time to listen, understand, and involve patients in their healthcare decisions. He approaches each consultation with empathy and respect, ensuring that care is tailored to each individual’s needs, lifestyle, health goals, and commitment to long-term health and wellbeing.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Dr Derakhshani offers comprehensive care across all areas of general practice, including women’s, men’s and children’s health, mental health, chronic disease management, preventive care, and minor procedures.

Mr Puya Mehman Pazir

Psychologist

Puya Mehman Pazir is a psychologist with a unique background in both music and psychology. He has completed a Bachelor of Music Performance, a Graduate Diploma of Music Composition, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Honours), and a Master of Professional Psychology. He is currently completing the placement component of his Master of Clinical Psychology, further strengthening his clinical skills through advanced training and supervision.

Puya’s pathway into psychology grew from his earlier work in music teaching and basketball coaching, where he developed a strong interest in supporting people’s growth, resilience, and wellbeing. He has worked in regional and low socioeconomic communities across Victoria and is committed to providing compassionate, accessible, and thoughtful care to clients from diverse backgrounds.

His therapeutic style is holistic and integrative, with a strong focus on building safe, collaborative, and meaningful therapeutic relationships. Puya draws on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, while also incorporating insights from philosophy, the arts, and lived experience where helpful.

Puya also conducts a range of psychological assessments, including cognitive, personality, and autism assessments, to help inform accurate understanding and tailored treatment planning.
